I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist, with extensive training and clinical experience.  My practice serves adults and adolescents from diverse cultural, ethnic, racial, immigrant, and religious backgrounds.  I provide assessment, therapy, forensic evaluations, and presentations and workshops.

 Personal Background:

With academic training and doctoral research in stress and coping, and clinical experience in managing post-traumatic stressors, I believe that challenging life events demand a lot from those who go through them.  Many can be survived and even lead to personal growth and resilience with appropriate support and intervention.  For those with long-term symptoms, specialized assessment and treatment can be helpful in developing coping strategies to improve quality of life.

My interest in post-cancer treatment issues evolved both from my personal experience as a young breast cancer survivor, and from my clinical training and experience in clinical psychology and neuropsychological conditions.

Individuals with diverse medical and psychosocial concerns, including cancer survivors and their family members. I have particular interest and expertise in the effects of chemotherapy on cognitive functioning, and present workshops and lectures on the topic.

I developed a monthly Chemobrain Workshop series at Mount Sinai, Downtown, and do presentations and workshops on the topic for such organizations at Gilda’s Club, CancerCare and American Cancer Society.
