Individual Psychotherapy

Individual psychotherapy for adults and adolescents in the form of supportive psychotherapy that is psychodynamically informed, client-centered, interpersonal, using cognitive/behavioral techniques and stress management strategies:

  • Mood disorders, including depression and anxiety

  • Coping with acute and chronic life stressors

  • Emotional reactions to serious medical conditions

  • Post-traumatic symptoms, including post-traumatic stress disorder

Treatment may also involve collateral collaboration with significant others, including partners, parents, teachers and other healthcare providers where we agree it’s appropriate; referrals to other specialists for consultation as needed; and psychoeducation and guidance towards additional sources of information and support.

ALL services are currently by TELEHEALTH [video or phone] ONLY due to ongoing social distancing requirements. The platform I prefer to use is HIPAA-compliant and quick and easy to set up and use; we can also use Zoom and FaceTime as needed.
